Social Emotional Learning Activities

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the center of our efforts. Our programs are designed to help children and teens develop empathy, self-confidence and skills for healthy relationships. At DHIFI, we take inclusivity workshop for students very seriously. At DHIFI, our belief is that feeling valued and respected is something everybody deserves, which is why we strive to create more inclusive spaces with the help of our inclusion programs. Disability Support Workshops

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of social emotional learning activities for educators in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies where students are engaged in substantive discussions about respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: We extend our reach beyond schools by collaborating with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is what these programs work towards.
  • Corporate Programs: We aim to expand our reach to the business sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are offered so that workplaces that are more inclusive can be created by companies. These programs are tailored to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture of respect and acceptance among employees.

Inspiring individuals to embrace their unique differences and encourage the development of an inclusive and empathic culture is DHIFI’s goal. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
