Inclusion Activities

At the heart the work we do at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Our programs are crafted to help children and teens develop empathy, self-confidence and skills for healthy relationships. A range of SEL activities customized to foster an inclusive environment in communities, and corporate settings are capable of being found at DHIFI. These activities encourage students to appreciate and understand their own and others’ unique characteristics, fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance. Self Acceptance Activities For Students

Project Flaunt is the perfect place to begin when you are trying to find get to know you activities for the classroom . The ‘Get To Know You’ activities we have developed are the ideal opportunity for promoting the forging of deeper student connections. Sel Programs For Youth Groups

We take a belonging program for educators very seriously at DHIFI. Everybody deserves to feel respected and valued. The inclusion programs we offer are designed to create inclusive spaces to achieve this. We deliver presentations and workshops that highlight the importance of inclusion by working with schools, community organizations, and corporations. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and learning disabilities and mental health issues which often go unseen.

Bullying Awareness Programs

At DHIFI, we are committed to offering disability support programs for educators. In many educational settings, bullying continues to be a sizeable issue. Our anti-bullying activities strive to fight this issue by promoting understanding and empathy among students. Anti-Bullying Workshops For Companies

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with bullying awareness initiatives for middle schools in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are designed to integrate inclusion and SEL education into the curriculum. These programs include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies where students are engaged in substantive discussions about respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is the goal of these programs.
  • Corporate Programs: We provide Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating more inclusive workplaces as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the business sector. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
