Social Emotional Learning Activities For High Schools

We take an inclusion program for students very seriously at DHIFI. DHIFI’s inclusion programs are designed to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued and respected. Disability Awareness Workshop

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with inclusion and belonging curriculum for students in many ways.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are simply a few of the ways students become engaged in substantive discussions surrounding topics including acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: In addition to schools, we collaborate with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities where understanding is promoted so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that help companies create workplaces that are more inclusive as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the corporate sector. The specific needs of each organization are taken into consideration with these programs. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is what these programs promote.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
