Social Emotional Learning Program For Communities

We take belonging activities for organizations very seriously at DHIFI. At DHIFI, our belief is that feeling respected and valued is something everybody deserves, which is the reason we strive to create more inclusive spaces with the help of our inclusion programs. We work with schools, community organizations, and businesses to deliver workshops and presentations highlighting how important inclusion is to a well functioning society. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and learning disabilities and mental health issues which often go unseen.

Bullying Awareness Training For Companies

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to advancing our mission with inclusion programs for students in many ways.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Students are engaged in substantive discussions concerning respect and acceptance through these programs, which include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is what these programs work towards.

Our social emotional learning (SEL) and empathy-building programs are designed to build acceptance and empathy and create cultures of inclusion for schools, communities, companies, and beyond.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
