At the center of our efforts at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Developing empathy, self-confidence, and healthy relationship skills for young people is what our programs are all about. We strive to promote inclusive environments in various locations, such as schools, communities, and even corporate settings and offer a variety of SEL activities to achieve this. Get To Know You Activities For Students

Disability Acceptance Activities For Universities

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with bullying prevention programs for schools in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Students are engaged in substantive discussions regarding respect and acceptance through these programs, which include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: We aim to extend our reach past school environments by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs strive to build inclusive communities that promote understanding and celebrate inclusion.
  • Corporate Programs: We aim for our reach to expand to the corporate sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that workplaces that are more inclusive can be created by companies. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is promoted through these programs which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
