Find Out More About The Power of SEL Programs for Universities

Promoting an inclusion program for universities to encourage acceptance and tolerance is what we’re all about at DHIFI. The vision of DHIFI is a community that doesn’t merely acknowledge but celebrates each child’s individuality actively. We’re dedicated to giving kids and teens the encouragement they need to embrace their differences and stand tall. Helping young people grow into individuals who are compassionate and confident is the focus of the work we do. Our offerings include a inclusion of programs for schools, universities, corporate settings and communities to this end.

Inclusion Activities

At the core of DHIFI is the dedication we have to inclusion and belonging workshop for elementary schools. This includes instructing younger individuals on emotional intelligence, goal-setting, empathy, relationship-building, and making better choices. At DHIFI, we increase SEL’s scope by motivating students to take pride in their distinctive characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Story sharing: By sharing their personal experiences, students gain confidence and tackle the barriers that often result in bullying.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their diverse characteristics are advantages rather than inadequacies.

Championing self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, promoting respect for diverse backgrounds, and ensuring a feeling of belonging for everybody, no matter their individuality, are integral parts of our vision.

Welcome Activity Ideas For The Classroom

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve additionally created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for ideas for classroom activities . Project Flaunt aims to empower students through the celebration of the things that make us unique, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. Building confidence and empathy among peers is the objective of this initiative, which is capable of being achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences. The program provides various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion. Schools can implement these activities to create a nurturing and understanding community where each student feels valued and accepted. Anti-Bullying Workshop

Why choose DHIFI for social emotional learning programs for students? Launched by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from a deeply personal experience and champions the acceptance of one’s self. Meg and her husband, both with a unusual genetic condition impacting their limbs, have three children, with two of them having inherited the condition, creating a family deeply attuned to the importance of coming to terms with visible differences. Since its early days, DHIFI has grown into a force full of energy, empowering academic facilities, families, and individuals to accept and show off the qualities that make them unique, thereby turning obstacles into opportunities for growing and feeling empowered as an individual. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
