Promoting anti-bullying training for students to encourage acceptance and tolerance is our mission at DHIFI. Here DHIFI, we envision a world where the individuality of each young person isn’t just recognized but also celebrated. Giving adolescents and children the confidence they need to accept their unique characteristics and hold their heads high is our mission at DHIFI. Our endeavors are crucial in helping young people grow into individuals who are compassionate and confident. To this end, we provide a wide range of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings.

Inclusion Activities

At the core of DHIFI is our dedication to emotional support training for students. We focus on developing the youth’s abilities for emotional understanding, establishing beneficial goals, fostering empathic interactions, building relationships, and executing decisions. We amplify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by urging learners to celebrate the things that make them unique, sustained by educational offerings that emphasize expanding SEL’s reach, encouraging students to feel pride when it comes to their individuality, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Encouraging individuals to share their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly result in bullying.
  • Accentuating individuality: We educate students that their different features are merits rather than inadequacies.

Championing the acceptance of one’s self and the acceptance of others, cultivating respect for various backgrounds, and guaranteeing a sense of belonging for everybody, regardless of their uniqueness, are key parts of our mission.

Bullying Awareness Workshop For Schools

Why choose DHIFI for social emotional learning activities for educators? Launched by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from an experience that’s deeply personal and champions the acceptance of one’s self. With the personal insight of living with a unique genetic condition affecting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children that have inherited the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform for the celebration of visible differences. Since its inception, DHIFI has grown into a dynamic force, empowering academic entities, individuals and families to embrace and showcase the qualities that make them unique, thereby transforming difficulties into possibilities for growing and feeling empowered as an individual. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It founder Meg Zucker. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Disability Awareness School Assemblies

Through dynamic school assemblies, Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It showcases social-emotional learning programs by cultivating emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and meaningful connection. Each assembly, whether focused on bullying prevention, disability support, or belonging, motivates students to value both their personal identity and the individuality in others. We use meaningful personal storytelling, interactive conversations, and self-exploration to guide young people to accept their individuality and celebrate what makes each person unique. Beyond teaching empathy, these assemblies are structured to inspire students to get involved and shift school culture for the long term. Looking to offer this influential program to your students?

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
