Find Out More About The Benefits of an Inclusion Curriculum for Companies

Promoting disability education training for educators to foster acceptance and tolerance is our mission at DHIFI. DHIFI’s vision is a society that doesn’t just acknowledge but celebrates each child’s individuality actively. Our mission is to give adolescents and children the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and hold their heads high. Helping young people grow into individuals who are compassionate and confident is the focus of the work we do. We provide a inclusion of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings to this end.

An Inclusion Program Program

Core to DHIFI’s mission is the promotion of a social emotional learning curriculum for middle schools. We strive to teach young minds how to process their emotions, set constructive goals, demonstrate empathy, make better choices and forge meaningful relationships. We magnify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by encouraging learners to celebrate their individualism, supported by offerings for education that emphasize increasing SEL’s reach, inspiring students to take pride in their uniqueness, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Story sharing: By sharing the experiences they’ve had with others, students gain confidence and tackle the barriers that often result in bullying.
  • Emphasizing uniqueness: We teach that differences are assets to be proud of, not deficits.

Championing the acceptance of one’s self and the acceptance of others, encouraging respect for various backgrounds, and ensuring a feeling of belonging for everyone, regardless of their individuality, are integral parts of our goal.

Empathy Building Activities For Students

An online interactive platform for SEL activities for middle school , Project Flaunt is also an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. Project Flaunt aims to empower students through the celebration of the things that make us unique, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. We believe that when students flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the result is increased confidence and empathy among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. Emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion, the various activities and resources provided in this curriculum are designed for integration into school curricula. For schools looking to ensure each student feels accepted and valued, a understanding and nurturing community can be created with the implementation of these activities. There’s a large number of reasons why we stand out at DHIFI for inclusivity curriculum for organizations. As well as these efforts, DHIFI is focused on doing away with bullying, with techniques that include:

  • Advocating for benevolence: Understanding each other helps make the environment inhospitable for bullying.
  • Cultivating empathy: Assisting students in seeing the world through the perspectives of others, we reduce the likelihood of exclusionary behaviors.

Emotional Support Workshops For Schools

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, isn’t just a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Meg and her husband, both with a rare genetic condition impacting their limbs, have three children, with two of them having inherited the condition, forging a family deeply attuned to the importance of coming to terms with noticeable differences. DHIFI started as an idea’s seed and in the time that has followed has grown into a vibrant community, where educational institutions and families are encouraged to flaunt the things that make them different, transforming potential barriers into opportunities for empowerment. DHIFI founder Meg Zucker also offers speaking engagements to further our mission. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Bullying Awareness School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our social emotional learning programs take shape through inspiring school assemblies that foster understanding, self reflection, and connection. Whether centered on anti-bullying, disability support, or inclusion, each assembly invites students to understand themselves – and one another – in a different perspective. Our approach weaves together powerful personal experiences, student-led discussions, and reflection tools to motivate students to value their identity and that of their peers. These assemblies aren’t just about understanding – they’re about inspiring engagement and creating enduring transformation within schools. Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
