We concentrate on enhancing the youth’s capacity for emotional comprehension, establishing beneficial goals, cultivating empathic interactions, building relationships, and making informed decisions. At DHIFI, we broaden SEL’s scope by motivating students to take pride in their distinctive characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Story sharing: By sharing the experiences they’ve had with others, students gain confidence and tackle the barriers that often lead to bullying.
  • Emphasizing the things that make us unique: We teach that differences are strengths to be proud of, not deficits.

Championing self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, promoting respect for diverse backgrounds, and ensuring a feeling of belonging for everyone, regardless of their individuality, are key parts of our vision.

Anti-Bullying Workshop For Schools

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
