Our organization is dedicated to promoting inclusion, providing practical tools to educators to help students connect through social-emotional learning, or SEL activities. By providing emotional support training for educators, we can make a real difference in the lives of students. Our social-emotional learning, or SEL activities are designed to help students manage emotions, develop healthy relationships, and make thoughtful choices. While a lot of students connect with each other on the surface during school, they may require some encouragement to really connect on a level that’s deeper. Giving them the support they need to open up about personal stories is one of the best ways. Helping students see the world through the eyes of someone else through storytelling to enable them to bond is something we highlight at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is the reason we’re a proponent of inclusion and belonging curriculum for educators and first day of school activity ideas . Her aspiration and inspiration always motivate children and adults alike to embrace their true selves and celebrate what makes them extraordinary.

By equipping educators with the proper resources and guidance that our Inclusion programs provide, we can build a culture of belonging where students can express whatever makes them unique comfortably. Our individual experiences are shaped by factors such as differences including race, ability, gender, and background. By promoting discussions about Inclusion, and inclusion, students get the opportunity to reflect on these factors. Actively celebrating differences, not just acknowledging them, is what these conversations are all about. Recognizing that differences are something to be confident of is part of this program. We hold the belief that everyone’s story deserves to be shared.

Welcome Activities For The Classroom

An online interactive platform for icebreaker activity ideas middle school , Project Flaunt is also an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. The Project Flaunt Hub offers participants the opportunity to showcase their individuality through stories, photos, or artwork. This platform enables students to flaunt what makes them unique, building a space where they’re able to celebrate their uniqueness and motivate others to follow. Classrooms can become places where inclusion is not merely accepted but honored by sharing these stories. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
