Inclusion Programs

We believe that SEL activities for students can truly make a difference in the world. At the core of DHIFI’s work is Social Emotional Learning. The tools of SEL equip individuals, especially students, with the knowledge to understand and control emotions, build interpersonal relationships, and make informed decisions. SEL activities have the ability to enhance awareness of how others experience the world, encourage team building and foster better communication. These activities assist students connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills required for success, both personally and academically. An Inclusion Program For Companies

We also focus on Inclusion activities for students in addition to social emotional learning activities. Our Inclusion programs are built to build environments where everyone can feel they are included, no matter their race, gender, background, or abilities. We go beyond inclusion by encouraging true inclusion and inclusion – with a goal of ensuring equal access for all. Bullying Awareness Curriculum Disability Awareness Curriculum For Students

Key to our mission at DHIFI is our dedication on disability awareness curriculum for students. A gap in understanding and recognition of differences is a common cause of bullying. Through interactive activities and candid discussions, we address the root causes of bullying and equip students with tools to take action against it. Providing students with the tools and knowledge they need to spot behaviors of bullying around them and to fight back against them, we strongly emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. These programs not only build awareness, they additionally enable students to transform into advocates for change, creating environments that are safer and more supportive for everyone. Acceptance Activity Ideas For The Classroom

To foster an enhanced sense of connection and inclusion, you’ll find icebreaker activities for the classroom at Project Flaunt. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
