Find Out About The Benefits of Inclusion Activities

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, our goal is fostering acceptance and tolerance with the help of empathy-based workshops for students. Every child’s individuality is something to be celebrated, and this is something we believe in strongly at DHIFI. We’re dedicated to empowering kids and teens to embrace their differences and feel confident. The work we do helps young people develop into compassionate and confident individuals. We provide a wide range of programs for schools, universities, corporate settings and communities to this end.

A Belonging Curriculum

At the heart of DHIFI is our dedication to inclusivity initiatives for students. We concentrate on enhancing the youth’s abilities for emotional comprehension, establishing positive goals, cultivating empathic interactions, building relationships, and making informed decisions. We amplify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by encouraging learners to be proud of their individualism, supported by educational offerings that emphasize broadening SEL’s reach, inspiring students to take pride in their uniqueness, supported by endeavors that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating individuals to share their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly result in bullying.
  • Accentuating individuality: We educate students that their various features are advantages rather than inadequacies.

Included in our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, nurture respect for people from various backgrounds, and make sure everyone feels they belong, no matter their differences.

Acceptance Activities For Students

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for welcome activities for the classroom . Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of the things that make us unique, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. Building confidence and empathy among peers is the goal of this initiative, which can be achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities. Various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion are provided by this program. To create a supportive and understanding community where each student feels valued and accepted, schools should consider implementing these activities. Why pick DHIFI for inclusion programs for educators? Launched by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from an experience that’s deeply personal and champions self-acceptance. Since its inception, DHIFI has grown into a force full of energy, empowering educational entities, individuals and families to accept and showcase the qualities that make them unique, thereby transforming obstacles into opportunities for growing and feeling empowered as an individual. Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
