There are many ways to achieve this, including discussing personal stories. We emphasize using storytelling as a way for students to bond at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. DHIFI knows how important it is to empower children with disabilities, which is the reason we’re a proponent of social emotional learning activities for universities and self acceptance activities for the classroom . A champion of inclusion and inclusion, Meg Zucker is president and founder of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It. She was born with a genetic disorder called ectrodactyly and has dedicated her life to supporting others to accept their uniqueness the way she has. She has had a legal career that has stretched over decades and has devoted herself personally to fostering empathy and acceptance wherever and whenever possible. These experiences have enabled her uplift individuals to celebrate the things that make them unique. Motivating children and adults alike to embrace their true selves and celebrate what makes them unique is what her vision and leadership is based on.

Welcome Activities For The Classroom

An online interactive platform for first day of school activities , Project Flaunt is also an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. The Project Flaunt Hub offers participants the opportunity to reflect their individuality through photos, stories, or artwork. Students can not only express the things that set them apart with our platform, but they’re able to encourage others as well. Classrooms should be places where inclusion is honored, not just acknowledged, and we believe this is possible by sharing these stories. Project Flaunt is more than merely a place for creativity — it is an opportunity for students to discover about themselves and each other, fostering greater inclusion and understanding.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
