At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we nurture environments where this is capable of happening by fostering uniqueness. Through our wide variety of programs, we work to promote acceptance, empathy, and self-confidence for people from all backgrounds.

Social Emotional Learning Activities

We believe that SEL activities for organizations is truly capable of making a difference in the world. Social Emotional Learning is a key focus of our work at DHIFI. The aim of SEL is to assist students in better understanding their emotions, strengthening interpersonal skills, and making informed decisions, with a focus on students. SEL activities offer many benefits for teams and individuals alike. A few examples include enhanced communication, increased empathy, and the building of strong teams. These exercises help participants connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills necessary for success, both personally and academically. A SEL Program For Military Families

We also focus on an inclusion curriculum for companies in addition to social emotional learning activities. Our Inclusion programs are structured to build environments where every individual can feel they are included, regardless of their race, gender, abilities, or background. More than just inclusion, we emphasize inclusion and inclusion, with a goal of ensuring equal access to the same opportunities. Our programming is designed for schools, businesses, and community groups, with engaging formats that tackle a range of topics.

Disability Support Programs Bullying Awareness Training For Military Families

Our focus on disability awareness training for students is central to our mission, as bullying often stems from a lack of understanding and recognition of differences. We address the root causes behind bullying and equip students strategies to defend themselves through interactive activities and candid discussions. Providing students with the skills and awareness needed to recognize behaviors of bullying around them and to oppose them, we strongly emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. Our programs are aimed at more than simply raising awareness. Our goal is for students to transform into active advocates for real change. Welcome Activity Ideas For Families

Project Flaunt offers empathy-based activities kids that foster a sense of belonging and community. Project Flaunt is a one-of-a-kind initiative that empowers individuals to celebrate their differences and share their stories with others. Narrative sharing where students explore how their differences influence their perspectives, group projects that celebrate individual strengths, and introductory exercises where students share something unique about themselves are examples of these activities. A deeper understanding for inclusion is gained through these activities as students discover more about each other. This can happen in the classroom, at home, or within the larger community.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
