At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, we aim to promote inclusion and belonging programs for educators to help people celebrate their differences. At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we believe in the power of fostering individuality and creating environments where everyone is capable of feeling seen, heard, and valued. We aim to promote tolerance, empathy, and self-confidence for individuals of all backgrounds through a range of programs.

A Belonging Program

We believe that inclusivity curriculum for military families is truly capable of making a difference in the world. At the core of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. The aim of SEL is to assist students in better understanding their emotions, building interpersonal skills, and making informed decisions, with a focus on students. Increasing awareness of the experiences of others, encouraging team building and fostering better communication are just a few advantages of SEL activities. Building connections with themselves and others, these activities help establish the social skills needed for personal success and academic achievement. A Inclusion Curriculum For Students

Together with social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on inclusion programs for educators. Creating environments where each individual feels a sense of inclusion, regardless of their gender, race, background, or abilities is the goal of our Inclusion programs. We don’t just stop at inclusion; we work to create inclusion and inclusion where everyone has access to the same opportunities. Communities, schools, and corporations are all capable of benefitting from our interactive programs, which touch on a broad range of topics.

Inclusion Activities

At DHIFI, we advocate for acceptance activities for the classroom for students with a diverse programs tailored to schools, companies, and communities. Our Speaking Engagements feature inspirational talks that break down preconceived notions about differences and disabilities. By encouraging self-expression through art, as well as encouraging empathy and inclusion, participants engage in impactful activities in our interactive programs. The important dialogue ignited by our programs for students embraces the things that make us unique and, over time, builds an atmosphere of respect and kindness among peers. Anti-Bullying Curriculum Disability Education Activities For Military Families

Bullying is often caused by a lack of understanding and appreciation, which is the reason we’re so dedicated to disability education workshop for schools. Through interactive activities and honest discussions, we tackle the root causes of bullying and equip students with strategies to speak up against it. Giving students the skills and knowledge needed to spot bullying behaviors around them and to stand against them, we emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. These programs raise awareness as well as create safer, more supportive environments for everyone by empowering students to transform into advocates for change. Our social emotional learning (SEL) and empathy-building programs are designed to build acceptance and empathy and create cultures of inclusion for schools, communities, companies, and beyond.

School Programs

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
