Don’t Hide It Flaunt it aims to help students celebrate their differences with the promotion of a SEL program for educators. At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we have a strong belief in the power of accepting uniqueness and creating environments where everyone is capable of feeling recognized, heard, and valued. We aim to promote tolerance, empathy, and self-confidence for individuals of diverse backgrounds through a range of programs.

An Inclusion Program Program

We believe that social emotional learning programs for educators is truly capable of making a difference in the world. At the heart of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. SEL equips individuals – students in particular – with the tools to understand and control their emotions, develop strong interpersonal skills, and make responsible decisions. We also focus on inclusion programs for organizations in addition to social emotional learning activities. At DHIFI, we make sure that everybody feels included, no matter their race, gender, abilities, or background. We don’t just stop at inclusion; we work to create inclusion and inclusion where everyone has access to the same opportunities. Our programming is designed for schools, corporate settings, and community groups, with interactive formats that address a range of topics.

Through interactive activities and candid discussions, we address the root causes of bullying and ensure students are equipped with strategies for standing up against it. Giving students the tools and knowledge they need to spot behaviors of bullying around them and to stand against them, we emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
