At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we believe in the power of embracing differences and creating environments where all people is capable of feeling recognized, heard, and valued. With our range of programs, we aim to promote acceptance, empathy, and self esteem for people from all walks of life.

An Inclusion Program Program

We believe that inclusion programs for organizations can truly make a difference in the world. At the heart of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. SEL equips individuals, particularly students, with the knowledge to process and control emotions, develop strong social skills, and make responsible choices. SEL activities are able to increase awareness of how others experience the world, foster team building and foster better communication. These exercises assist students connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills required for achievement, both personally and academically. An Inclusion Curriculum For Organizations

We also focus on an inclusion curriculum for middle schools together with social emotional learning activities. Creating environments where everyone feels a sense of belonging, regardless of their gender, race, background, or abilities is the goal of our Inclusion programs. We don’t settle at inclusion; we work to create inclusion and inclusion where each person can access the same opportunities. Our programs target schools, businesses, and communities with engaging formats that cover a broad scope of topics.

Our focus on disability awareness programs for universities is core to our mission, as bullying often stems from a absence of understanding and recognition of differences. Through interactive activities and honest discussions, we tackle the root causes of bullying and provide students with strategies to stand up against it. Giving students the skills and knowledge needed to recognize behaviors of bullying around them and to oppose them, we strongly emphasize kindness, empathy, and respect. These programs raise awareness as well as create environments that are safer and more supportive for all by equipping students to transform into advocates for change. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
